Morocco is struggling with sticky problems which are hindering its
path to agricultural glory. Read here, to understand the major ones.
Agriculture is the backbone of many countries in the world; those
which succeeded in their quest for economic prosperity took to major
technological, psychological and environmental changes in their previous
traditional systems of farming. Government had provisions for used tractors and
other machinery to help farmers in the efforts etc. Morocco faces some very
similar problems that most African countries face; here is small outline of the
real problems or hurdles that block Morocco's path to agricultural dominance in
Africa. Hurdles in the agricultural development of morocco.
Shortage Agricultural Development in
Arable Land
Morocco has a serious challenge of shortage of good farming land.
It is partially due to the effects of nature but there is also the problem of
poor productivity from these pieces of land due to poor farming techniques. New
Farmers do not receive lots of encouragement since land prices are high. Hurdles
in the agricultural development of Morocco.
Tractors and Machinery for Agricultural Development
Equipment and the skill to operate machinery is very rare due to
high illiteracy rates in the country. If new tractors are too expensive then
the government should make room for providing used tractors at lower rates to
encourage technological advancement and simultaneously overall productivity.
Poor Irrigation in Agricultural Development
Water is a must for crops; if the irrigation system is not properly
chalked out then it can cause some really persistent problems for
agriculturist. The field will suffer because of poor water content and will
probably lack a constant supply of water. Moisture in the soil will also be
affected by this. Newer methods and infrastructure developments need to be
carried out to ensure trouble free agriculture. Hurdles in the agricultural developmentof Morocco.
These
problems were the characteristic of all nations previously but they phased
these problems out with time. Morocco is clearly suffering at the hands of
these agricultural evils, the people and the authorities should start improving
their overall agricultural plan immediately.
